Yamaha 150 Pro V on a Cajun 19

Problem.....boat ran fine the first 10 minutes, shortly after she would only tach out around 2,500 rpm in forward, no skipping, more like bogging out, would even get on plane, however when in neutral or in reverse would tach out as if nothing was wrond
Can any one provide me with a solution

The same thing was happening to my buddy's boat. He needed a new prop
