Ponkapoag 6/23/2012
The morning started rainy and cloudy, a thunder storm passed through at 7:30 AM but after a few hours the clouds cleared out and it turned sunny and hot. Ponky is pretty full of weeds at this point so lure selection is pretty much limited to anything that is weedless. I was able to boat a 20.5" pick on a white spinner bait and had a bunch of other short hits. The purple Senko produced two decent bass. Called it quits by 1:00 due to the brutal sun. Also want to give a shout out to Dave and Jimmy in their Pungos. They told me they were into a lot of fish. I saw Jimmy get two in a row so I guess he was telling the truth.
Love Ponkapoag!
Great looking fish in all 3 pics man! That Pickerel is a bright son of a gun.
The senkos are really starting to come in lots of different colors, my buddy has a packet of chartreuse senkos!
Nice fish! Would have been there but I had to work. Last time I was there lost a lot because they wrapped into the weeds once hook.
