So I have noticed some talk lately of this pond having big fish and that pond having big fish, I caught this big fish and I caught that big fish.What size fish, that when you catch it , really gets your heart pumping? I mean we all get a little bit excited every time we get bit but what size bass has you fist pumping, high fiving, has you wanting to yell YES!!!???
For me it's 6lbs plus. Don't get me wrong a 3lber is nice, a 4 is great, a 5 has the heart pumping faster but a 6 plus I feel is a true accomplishment here in New England. What say you?

i feel like a lot of people miss judge the size of there bass, in maine last week. some kid i was fishing with said the bass he just caught was a 3lbser. it was to small. 1.5lbser 2lbser
my buddy caught a nice smallie. he said it was a 4lbser. nope 2-2.5 lbser

I would have to say anything over 5lbs gets me going. We were spoiled last year at the Sud with so many 3 & 4's and a couple over the 5lbs mark.
I agree though with bassturds that people often misjudge the weight of a fish. It only takes a second to weigh the thing. I get it that you can estimate the weight, but still bettter to weigh it and be sure! Too many times I have thought I had a 4-5 lb bass and turns out to barely be pushing 3!

yea ive miss judged the size of my bass,but also nailed it down to ounces before.
im skeptical about people saying i caught a 5lbser there,6lbser there with no pics. some people i believe, aka the guys here on MAFF.
but i have a hard time believing a 5lbser from a person you miss judges the bass weight.
