Hit the ice yesterday for the first time this year. Fished for 3 hours and had flags flying steady with one double header and some action on my jigging rod. A total of 9 fish which consisted of chain pickeral, largemouth, perch, sunfish and crappie. Bait used was medium shiners and meal worms. Ice thickness was 5 inches but beware, it thins out in some areas due to active springs.
