In most cases, you're right, but I've got an Ascend 128T (read aircraft carrier) with a trolling motor on it. The battery and motor add enough weight that I've got to get a little wet when launching in some places.

Not enough to piss about, but it's an easy trade off to have the trolling motor....

When your kayak is 14 feet long, you get in the damn water. Haha.

I wouldn't call my 128T a 'high end kayak', but thank you....

more high end then mine, but my yak is a 10 footer and weighs about 40lbs. very light and compact

I call my 128T an aircraft carrier for a reason.... Very Happy

thats awesome! must be nice being able to bring more tackle and rods!

im limited and have a tough time deciding what to bring

My yak is a Ascend® FS12 Sit In Angler Kayak 85lb , so just getting half in the water I'm still stepping in ankle deep in water , even when getting out.
