Was hoping to get out in the yak today or tomorrow for a final yak trip. That's it for me! Looks like the low temps are moving in and will probably be here to stay. The cold wind isn't fun and the pain and suffering isn't worth it to me Exclamation Laughing

I realize that! Laughing I'm just done with the yak for the season. I will chase them around in the waders until the ice stops me Exclamation Laughing

Being a small boat guy myself I not sure how many days I have left on the water until the hard water season. The only days I could get out this week are Sun or Mon and the forecast for those two days is just not worth launching the boat.

I got a few hours on the water today. Water temps were 41-44. No bites

Wow, I thought the cloud cover and rain might be good for the bite.

I'm going out Saturday on my yak too. It's been real slow for me last few times, pickerel or shutout. That'll probably be it unless we get a warm spell. Once you get down into the 30's it gets miserable fast.

I'm starting to think that doesn't hold true once the water drops below say 55.

Actually today may have been a good day out there if you could deal with the elements. The cold fronts still kick ass and shut them right down. Next week does not look nice at all Exclamation

I went to Holliston Res. for the first time on Thursday, 10:30 to 1:30. Water level looked extremly low, nice place. Emptied out the tackle box, no bites, paddled all over the place Exclamation . I'm putting the kayak away for the season and stock up on tackle over the winter Very Happy
