Picked up this bad boy on Saturday and took it out for a shake down on the Charles on Sunday. It's a nice fishing platform although the winds blow it around as though it had a sail on it. I bought it for fly fishing but it will definitely be getting an anchor trolley this week.

Nice yak! Yeah a trolley anchor is pretty much indispensable IMO. I've been looking at the Jackson Kilroy myself. It's a hybrid between a sit-in and sit-on. Here's a link to the walkthrough for anyone interested.

Also if you look at the video of the demo, a guy is practically doing hand stands on the thing and trying to tip it over, but can barely do it.

Nice rig John. Great choice. Cool camo pattern too. Team Wilderness was hoping to recruit you, but you've gone to the Dark Side!

Awesome new rig John...it looks versatile yet comfortable. Good luck on it...hopefully Larry takes you for a ride in it!

A question for the group, obviously the width of the kayak will help to dictate it's stability but what else do you look for? My wife may want to get one for next year and I want it to be stable and comfortable....thanks.

Nice new ride, John - I'm sure you'll figure out what to do with all that extra room compared to the Ascend!

Yeah, the Kilroy looks really interesting. If you like to stand, this may be one of the most stable platforms on the market because it's center of gravity is so low.
