Fished Sluice Pond in Lynn this afternoon. Used shiners; caught one 2lb (weighed) rainbow trout on the bottom. Very sluggish. Was very dark too; at first thought it was a brown trout. Probably spend all winter on the gravel bottom.

Fished it again this AM. Took 2 trout before the cold and wind finally got to me. Should be stocked this week or next so should get better...

Has anyone ever had luck with the Powerbait eggs/balls? I've tried the yellow to no avail.

We've had great success with the orange Power Eggs. In fact, its the only color we will use (where we fish, the waters are tannin/stained).

Try using same set up you would use for power eggs and use a mini marshmallow and a meal worm-wax worm trout love em!Killed em last yr with that combo.Color of eggs depends on water never tried orange maybe I should but I have had my best luck with white and chartreuse.
