Was actually thinking about giving the Res a shot this Sunday if anyone is interested.

Bassturds fish was caught at Scar Hill in the cove.

Deep water for trout in the summer. Muskie's bro hit a solid 8lb laker last summer off gate 8.

Parking is a big dirt lot on RT 110 gate 35 The Rook. The closest spot to the narrows, shallow to deep, 10 -15 ft to so say 110 ft (some say 140ft) Long walk but.....no LEAD guys as a heads up, they will check

you can use 1oz and up in lead no? That way if your using a surf casting setup you can fire out a 1oz or 2oz spoon pretty far. Might scare the salmon Smile

There's no lead sinkers of any size allowed at wachusett or quabbin. It was like that even before the lead ban

Gate 8 is a solid 20 min walk.

But we plan on spending the day I ment like how far can we walk the shoreline van we walk to gate 10 from 8

There is a ton of shoreline to walk. Not sure how the water level is as there is one spot near gate 8 that might be a little tight if the water is high.

Since we primarily use live bait there, we have our spots we frequent and just set up shop for a few hours. We usually start our days there an hour before sunrise as thats when we tend to get the most action.

We are going to try to get there Round 5

You should be good. You can officially walk in hour before sunrise which is 5:18 on Sunday.

Live Crawfish should SLAM the Smallies and Browns, Most baitshops have them or look under any rock hahahahaha

Might be time for a Group Derby...... Maybe we call it the "Firecracker Open" brought to you by Muskie Adventure Tours

Posted Tue Jul 02, 2013 12:51 pm

So we will be able to find live craws there ?

Posted Tue Jul 02, 2013 12:52 pm

You can't touch the water at all... B&A bait at the Res usually has them but he has funny hrs this time of the year give them a call to make sure 5 am and your late!!!! If you were fishing with us

If you going this Sunday, I may be talked into going, with a few of my closest pals hahahahahaha and maybe some Yellow Striped Candy MMMMMMMMMM
