And I spotted a little pond with a bridge that ran right through it! Later on, after coming to this website, I realized that it's called Floating Bridge Pond.
I didn't expect much action here, but I had two friends with me, and our plans in the area had gotten cancelled, so we busted out my rods and went to town. They are pretty new, so they were complaining after 20 minutes of no bite.
But then, one of them hit on a jitterbug, and then another hit on a KVD 1.5.
Nothing huge, but the bite was on...
I was using senkos and ended the day with 6 bass, 3 which were well above average size. One friend caught two pickerels, a couple little bass, and then one giant pick was brought up to shore and thrashed last minute, ripping the KVD lure off the line and headed to the middle of the pond where we could see him thrashing about. The other friend just hit one small bass on a jitterbug.
Not too shabby for a random pond chosen last minute... A great little spot to teach impatient friends how to fish.
Private parking lot behind apartment complex. Nobody minded. People were helpful. Nobody thought there were bass in there, they all talked about a big carp that was pulled from there years ago. Oh, and the dead body they found there a couple weeks back.
funny to see this post. They pulled a body out of there about two weeks ago!!! A couple days later, my uncle....who has fished there for 50 years...pulled and 8 lb largemouth out of there!
Story goes there was a guy who lived over there that used to bring bass back from maine and put them in there for years and years and there's some biggens in there.......
The ranking score is used to determine how "popular" a trip or location is. It is calculated based off of a weighted average of the number of reviews and the user ratings. For example, a trip with 2 reviews and an average rating of 5 will have a lower "ranking score" than one with 10 reviews and an average rating of 4. This is because even though the first trip has a better average rating, it has not been reviewed as much as the second trip, so it is not as "popular". In the future we may modify the ranking score to take in additional factors, such as the number of views, comments, and photos.
