Hows the water clarity/color at Cochituate? I 've never been there.

Posted Wed Aug 20, 2014 9:57 am

Usually very clear, but haven't been there since last year. Has trout in some of the ponds so its deepish and clear.

Deepish?hahaha.Main lake has lots of steep drop offs and deep weed.Check out mass wild life pond maps and you'll get an idea.We now have 14 with 6 spots left.Any one else?

Deepish? I fish the cape a lot I guess my perspective is bit skewed.

Anything over 5 foot is deep. Laughing

Deep is deep,15 feet or more is deep, although may be good dropshot or shakey head water. But what is deepish? Is that like sheepish?Sorry Ryan just playin.

Ballbusting is always fun. I consider the middle pond deep but they other two I consider normal kettle pot ponds. Compared to the Nip a pool is deep.

Nip is perfect.

Cochituate is wicked deep in a number of spots, well over 50 feet if I'm remembering correctly. Pretty big, too.

Ken, all three "ponds" are within tourney limits, right?

I thought it was a bit dirty. Brownish. I haven't been there in a few years, though.
